The classic sculpture Teamwork, set in front of Einar Nielsen Fieldhouse, provides a timely reminder that this fall commemorates 125 years of Utah football. Using media including iron, wood, wire, plaster, and concrete, U fine arts student David Orton Maxfield BA’50 MA’51 created the statue as part of his master’s thesis. To make the seven-foot players look as authentic as possible, Maxfield consulted football coach Jack Curtice for technical advice and uniforms.
