Capturing Campus

Every day, photographers at The Daily Utah Chronicle, the U's student newspaper, capture images of the people, places, and events of the University, from the ordinary to the unusual. In these pages, Continuum has selected some of those images to salute the up-and-coming photojournalists who peer at the University day after day, telling its story visually—and compellingly. "Our photographers have been published in national magazines like Time, Newsweek, and U.S. News & World Report, and several newspapers, both nationally and internationally," says editor Jeremy Harmon. Last year, "Chrony" photographers (including Harmon) received four first-place Student Photojournalism Awards from the Utah News Photographers Association. "I firmly believe that photojournalism is the most direct and powerful form of reporting," says Harmon, "and I am proud of the photo staff at our paper."
