In March, Gov. Michael Leavitt and his son, U of U alumnus Mike Leavitt Jr. BS'02, joined 60-plus members and guests of the U of U Bay Area alumni chapter for an evening of dining and socializing in Palo Alto, Calif. The audience was eager to hear directly from the governor about the Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games. Leavitt proclaimed the Games a huge success, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will reap future benefits such as attracting new economic development to Utah.
